The cold rolled coils are manufactured from the hot rolled coils. The hot rolled coils are cleaned chemically and processed further in cold reduction mills, where the material is cooled (at room temperature) followed by annealing and/or tempers rolling. This process will produce steel with closer dimensional tolerances and a wider range of surface finishes. Cold rolling increases strength, enhances the surface finish and offers uniform thickness

CR sheets or cold rolled sheets are hot rolled malleable metals which provides a superior surface finish, with improved physical properties of the steel, such as high formability, and endurance, excellent dent resistance, good magnetic properties, tensile strength, and precise welding properties. With Cold Rolling its thickness is reduced to precise gauges. CR Sheets are available in sheets and coils.
